Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 13, 2026

This privacy policy applies to the game Load Order (herein referred to as "the Application") for Android devices, which was created by Kent Nilsson (herein referred to as "the Service Provider").

In short: the Application has no accounts of its own and never asks for your name, your email address, or any other personal detail — there is nowhere in it to enter one, and your puzzle progress is kept on your device. It does, however, show advertising, and it sends gameplay analytics and crash and error reports. Those, together with the optional leaderboards, are described in full below.

Information Stored Only on Your Device

The following is written to your device's local storage and is never uploaded by the Application:

All of it is deleted when you uninstall the Application. Note that your career score is also submitted to a leaderboard if — and only if — you are signed in to Google Play Games; see below.

Information Collected and Transmitted

Four things in the Application send data off your device. Each is described in its own section.

1. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The Application shows a banner advertisement along the foot of the game screen, and offers an optional rewarded video that you may choose to watch in exchange for an extra hint. Advertising is served by Google AdMob.

To request and measure an advertisement, Google receives:

Google may also use its Privacy Sandbox advertising APIs on devices that support them. Google's handling of this data is governed by its own policies; see Google's business data responsibility page and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the Application shows a Google-certified consent message before any advertisement is requested, and your answer there governs whether advertising is personalised. See Your Choices below.

2. Gameplay analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

The Application reports how its puzzles are actually played, so that difficulty can be tuned against real solve times rather than guesswork. It sends an event when a manifest is started, when one is sealed, when one is abandoned by switching freight packs, and when a rewarded-video hint is requested. Each event carries only figures about the puzzle and your play of it:

These events contain nothing you have typed, no free text, and nothing about you personally. Alongside them, Google Analytics for Firebase automatically collects a standard set of information: a randomly generated app instance identifier, the advertising identifier described above, device model, operating system version, app version, language, an approximate location derived from IP address, and automatic events such as first open, session start and app update.

See Firebase's privacy and security page and Google's description of the data Analytics collects.

3. Crash and error reports (Firebase Crashlytics, and Sentry)

When the Application crashes or hits an internal error, a diagnostic report is sent so that the fault can be found and fixed. Crashes of the app itself are reported through Firebase Crashlytics. Errors inside the game's own code may additionally be reported through Sentry.

A report contains:

See Firebase's privacy page and Sentry's privacy policy.

4. Leaderboards (Google Play Games Services) — optional

The Application offers two leaderboards: your lifetime career score, and each day's daily manifest. These use Google Play Games Services.

The Application never prompts you to sign in when it launches. If Google Play Games has already signed you in on your device, your scores are submitted; otherwise nothing is sent, and you are asked to sign in only if you tap Leaderboard yourself. You may decline, and the rest of the game is unaffected.

When you are signed in, the Application submits your career score and your daily score to Google. Those scores are associated with your Google Play Games profile, not with any account held by the Service Provider, and they may be visible to other players under your Play Games gamer tag. The Application does not read your Play Games profile, your name, your friends list, or your email address. Play Games is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

What the Application Does Not Collect

The Application does not ask for, collect or transmit your name, your email address, your contacts, your photos or files, your precise location, your microphone or camera, or screenshots of your screen. It has no accounts of its own, no chat or messaging, no user-generated content, and no social features beyond the optional leaderboards. It declares only two permissions of its own — internet access and vibration — to which the Google advertising and Play Games libraries add network-state and advertising-identifier permissions of theirs.

The Application contains no in-app purchases. Extra hints are earned by watching a rewarded video, never bought.

Your Choices

The Application does not currently offer an in-app switch for analytics or crash reporting. Because those reports carry no name, account or contact detail and are not tied to you, the Service Provider cannot locate or delete an individual report on request. If such a switch matters to you, please say so at the address below.

Third-Party Services

The Application uses the following services, each processing data as described above:

The Service Provider does not sell or rent your data, and does not share it with anyone beyond the services listed here.

Data Retention

Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days by Crashlytics, and for up to 90 days by Sentry. Event-level analytics data is retained for the period configured in the Firebase console; aggregated reports, which identify nobody, may be kept for longer. Advertising data is retained by Google under its own policies. Data stored on your device is kept until you uninstall the Application.

Legal Basis for Processing (UK and EU users)

Where UK or EU data protection law applies:

Data may be processed outside the UK and the EEA by the providers listed above, under the safeguards described in their own privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because it contains advertising, the Application is not intended for a child audience and is not presented as such in the Google Play store. It has no accounts, no chat, no other social features beyond the optional leaderboards, and no in-app purchases.

If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Application, please contact the Service Provider at the address below and it will be deleted.

Security

Everything leaving the Application is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). All other data the Application creates — your progress, career score, daily history and settings — never leaves your device.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Any updates are effective immediately upon posting on this page.
